Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE] — draft, pending attorney review
1. Who can use CasualMeet
CasualMeet is for adults only. By creating an account you represent that:
- · You are at least 18 years old.
- · You are not a resident of, and are not accessing CasualMeet from, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Utah, Montana, or Arkansas ("Excluded States"). We restrict service to these states because of state age-verification laws that CasualMeet, as a small operator, does not have the ability to comply with. If you are located in an Excluded State, you must not create an account or use the service.
- · All information you provide, including your claimed birthdate, is true and accurate.
- · You will not use CasualMeet to harass, exploit, or harm anyone, including minors.
We rely on your self-attestation of age and location. We do not perform ID or selfie-based age verification. Misrepresenting your age or location is a violation of these Terms and grounds for immediate termination, and may expose you to legal liability independent of anything CasualMeet does.
2. What CasualMeet is
CasualMeet is a pseudonymous adult social/dating site: profiles, browsing, and private chat. It is not a substitute for professional matchmaking, background checks, or safety guarantees of any kind — see our Community Guidelines and Safety Center for how to meet people more safely.
3. No explicit content
CasualMeet does not permit sexually explicit photos, video, or written content anywhere on the service — not on profiles, not in browse listings, not in private chats or group chats. This applies to all content regardless of whether it is public or exchanged privately between consenting members.
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates this policy, without notice.
4. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, at our discretion, for:
- · Violating these Terms (including the no-explicit-content policy or the Excluded States restriction),
- · Violating the Community Guidelines,
- · Being the subject of a valid report implicating your account,
- · Any conduct we determine, in good faith, poses a safety risk to other members.
You may delete your own account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your profile; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your messages.
5. Content and conduct you're responsible for
You are solely responsible for the content you post and the messages you send. You agree not to post or send content that:
- · Is sexually explicit (see Section 3),
- · Depicts or involves anyone under 18, in any context,
- · Harasses, threatens, or discloses another member's private information without consent,
- · Impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity.
CasualMeet does not support photo or image uploads or sharing anywhere on the service, in profiles or in chats — content is limited to text.
6. Reporting
If another member violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines, you can report or block them from the Safety Center. Reports are reviewed by the operator, generally within 48 hours.
7. Retention of messages
Chats have a retention setting (a day-count, or burn-after-reading) chosen by either participant, described in the Privacy Policy. You can also delete your own messages or chats manually at any time.
8. No warranty; limitation of liability
CasualMeet is provided "as is," free of charge, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including from interactions with other members. You use CasualMeet, and any in-person meetings arranged through it, at your own risk.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of CasualMeet after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
